Whenever hiking and I come across something beautiful, or just straight out odd, I stop to take a picture of it. Feel free to comment below and share your own pictures you have taken.
Have you ever recorded a campfire using the slo-motion effect? Below is a sample of that.
Tree Eyes
Here are a couple of Tree Eyes that I found

Tree Images
Here are some trees that I had to take pictures of.
- The first image, ‘Young from Old,’ is of a younger tree growing out of an older tree stump.
- The next two, ‘Roots,’ are some unique tree roots that I found.
- The next one, ‘Trees Holding Hands,’ was taken at Powers Park in Powers, MI, of two trees holding hands.
- A tree stump in the water looks odd. Make sure you don’t hit it with your boat or dive into the water there.
- The ‘Tree Rebirth’ was also found at Powers Park. A fallen tree started growing again.
- The next two of ‘Tree Hanging On’ were found at Agate Beach. This tree does not want to give up.
- The ‘Lonely Dead Tree’ was just sitting by itself in the middle of the field.
- The ‘Distorted Tree Monster’ looks straight out of a horror movie with teeth included!
- The second to the last one is an uprooted tree whose dirt looks like the shape of an elephant.
- The last one is a nature-made tree bench that you can sit on in Powers Park.

Water Scenery
These beautiful images of waterfalls, private bathtubs, private beaches, and rocky shores were found throughout the UP.
Included is Lake of the Clouds and a boondocking spot we found on National Forest land.
The last image is a spooky image at night of trees submerged in the water.

Odd Finds and Nature’s Formations
Some of these places are full of surprises. The silo was in the middle of nowhere; we came across roads that looked really iffy just to get to some of these places, and came across odd rock formations and rare plant life.
It was interesting coming across a new bridge built over an old bridge. I guess it was cheaper than tearing down the old bridge.

Plant Life
The first image is of Indian Ghost Pipe, which can be dangerous, medicine, or hallucinogenic depending upon how it is prepared and used. This plant can be very dangerous, so beware!
The other three are mushrooms. The last one is a Pheasant Back Mushroom, which is edible, but you would have to eat it while it is very young. Otherwise it will taste like leather.
