Abandoned Cars Found While Hiking

An image of an old ford.

While looking at used cars for sale at Riverside in Escanaba, I spotted this abandoned car in the woods behind Riverside. The car is no longer there. I’m not sure when it was removed.

Here are some random finds found while hiking. Look at the size of that old Studebaker radio!

My wife and I were on our honeymoon at a cabin in the Porcupine Mountains. I decided to explore and hike and came across this old Model T. I kept wondering how this Model T (I think it is a Model T) ended up in the middle of nowhere, where we had to hike to the cabin. I looked around and saw a steep cliff. I climbed the cliff and discovered a really old service road that may have been pushed down back in the day.

I came across this old Ford while hiking in the woods. Again, it was in the middle of nowhere, and after hiking a little further I found an old logging road where it may have come from.

These finds were not found in the wild nor the Upper Peninsula. But rather at M Schettl Sales in Oshkosh, WI. They have many oddities there that you can check out. Also, they sell just about anything that you can think of!

Some of you may recognize The Mystery Machine from Scooby Doo, Armageddon on Wheels, or the junkyard where it resided. When looking for parts for a vehicle in a junkyard, I came across this find. The junkyard has been sold since then and is now Pete’s 906 Auto Salvage. I doubt that it is still there.

Here is a true Barn Find. When looking at a property for sale near Carney/Dagget, I came across this 57 Chevy in the barn. I almost wanted to buy the property for the car alone! The car has been removed and the property sold already.
