The classic car exhibition that occurs right inside the Upper Peninsula State Fair in Escanaba and on Ludington St. is the annual Antique Car Show. It takes place during the massive fair week held every mid-August at the U.P. State Fairgrounds.

The Ludington Street Cruise is held the same weekend after Memorial Day (May 29-30), and the show cars take a route throughout the city.

Show Schedule & Location

When: The car show takes place over the weekend of the fair, historically anchoring on Fair Saturday.Where: It is held directly on the fairgrounds, usually hosted under or around the main Activities Tent.

What to Expect

The Display: Unlike standalone automotive events, this is an Antique Car Show specifically integrated into the fair’s daily lineup. It features beautifully restored vintage vehicles, classic hot rods, and historical models brought in by collectors from across the Upper Peninsula.

Admission: The car show is included with your gate admission to the U.P. State Fair. There is no additional fee to walk through the exhibition tent and view the vehicles.

Fair Accompaniments: Because it occurs on Saturday, it runs alongside other major single-day fair highlights like the Jr. Market Livestock Auction and headlining evening grandstand concerts.
